Sun shaft is travel final drive element in the planetary gearbox. On the top of sun shaft there is a gear which transfers power from travel motor to gearbox which puts the entire transmission in motion. At the bottom, we find a spline gear which is the place where sun shafts cooperate with motor shaft.
Sun shaft as motor shaft are the most important elements of the planetary gearbox .In a wheel drive planetary gearbox, the sun gear drives the surrounding planetary gears which are fixed to a carrier. When the sun gear is driven, the planet gears rotate the outer ring gear. The wheels can be mounted over the housing of the gearbox.
